The TOEIC Preparation/Language achievement
test allows students to find out their level, with
equivalence to tests recognized worldwide. It is available
when studying English, German, Spanish, Italian, or French and
allows students to measure:
- Listening comprehension
- Reading comprehension
Using this test, the student :
- Is evaluated compared to the levels
established by the Council of Europe
- Can obtain an indicative equivalence between
the TOEIC
Preparation results and the principal recognized
linguistic tests
(TOEIC, TOEFL, Council of Europe Levels,
etc.)
Characteristics of the TOEIC
Preparation/Language achievement test :

Contents developed in accordance with the recommendations of the Council of
Europe;
- Can be taken twice;
- Timed, with a duration of 60-90 min. maximum;
- Can be paused (allowing the student to return to the
question where he or she
left off);
- Does not allow the student to return to a previous question
during the test,
- Instructions for the exercises are provided (in writing and
in audio format) in the
target language;
- Instructions with an example are given before each new type
of exercise;
- Sound recordings can only be played once;
- Composed of multiple-choice questions with only one possible correct answer;
- The student’s choice of answer can be changed as long as
time remains.
The test is made up of two large sections and a
total of seven
sub-sections:
1. Listening comprehension (4 sub-sections)
In this section, students have a fixed time to
answer each question and to validate their answer. If they do
not validate their answer, they are taken automatically to the
next question.
2. Reading comprehension (3 sub-sections)
In this section, a total time is assigned to
each type of exercise :
Fill-in-the-Blanks = 15 minutes
Spot the Mistake = 7 minutes
Longer Written Texts = 25 minutes |
